                                         Gurgaon is also named as gurugram, which means place of guru. This is because Guru Dronachariya lived here. He is the guru of Korvas and Pandavas. He teaches them astra and shastra vidya. That’s why this place is known as Gurugram. There is a collage of his name Guru Dronachariya collage. Here is a place Dhankot where the tradition has it that milk was supplied from this place to guru Dronacharya and his pupils at Gurugram. It is also identified as Thullkottiha (of the Buddhist Literature) and was visited by Lord Buddha.
